Root Canal Treatment

Root Canal Treatment

We are pleased to provide our patients with the most up-to-date root canal therapy. A root canal is a technique that removes decayed pulp from the tooth's central section, reshapes the canal, and fills it with a stronger material.

A widespread misunderstanding is that a root canal is an unpleasant operation. This is not true. Root canals are comparable to having a cavity filled in that they provide minimal discomfort.

There are a number of reasons a root canal may be necessary, including:

  • Tooth pulp that is inflamed or diseased
  • Extremely sensitive to hot and cold temperatures
  • Tooth Decay
  • Blow to the tooth
  • Chipped or damaged tooth
  • Tenderness or swelling near the diseased tooth
  • A tooth that has had multiple dental operations performed on it

These issues, if left untreated, can lead to serious dental decay that reaches the tooth's base, causing considerable damage to the tooth structure. When the damage is too severe to be repaired with a filling, we can perform a root canal to save the tooth and restore its integrity.

The following are the steps in the root canal procedure:

  • Anaesthesia is administered to the patient.
  • To isolate the tooth, a dental dam is applied.
  • The tooth is opened to allow infected or dead dental pulp to be removed.
  • The whole tooth is cleaned, including any cracks or canals.
  • The doctor reshapes the canals using specific instruments.
  • A cutting-edge biocompatible filling substance is used to fill the tooth once more.
  • The access opening is covered with a temporary covering.
  • The patient will return for the placement of a permanent restoration after a period of recovery.

We will work with each patient individually to go over the specifics of their treatment and any options that may be available. Our number one objective is to offer you with the best possible care.
